Henquin Jean-Claude is a Full Professor of Physiology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Louvain, Brussels. He has held academic positions including Guest Professor at the University of Saarlandes (1985–1992) and Research Director at the FNRS (Fonds National de la Recherche Scientifique) (1981–1992). He obtained his PhD (Agrégation de l'Enseignement Supérieur) in 1980 and M.D. in 1971, both from the University of Louvain.
