Claude Lieber is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering and Bioengineering at the U.A. Whitaker College of Engineering, Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). He joined FGCU in January 2018. With a distinguished career in medicine, Dr. Lieber is a retired surgeon who previously served as an Associate Professor of Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and Chief of Surgery at the affiliated Veteran’s Administration Medical Center. His expertise includes human physiology and the application of mathematics, statistics, and machine learning to physiological phenomena.
