Helen L Thaventhiran

Dr Helen L Thaventhiran is an Associate Professor at the University of Cambridge, affiliated with the Faculty of English and the Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic. She has been a Fellow and Director of Studies in English at Robinson College since 2013 and previously held a Research Fellowship at Christ's College.

Her research spans 19th-21st century literature, modernism, literary criticism, philosophy of language, and dance studies. She is working on Margins of Philosophy, an alternative history of 20th-century philosophy of language intersecting with literature.

She serves as Reviews Editor at the Cambridge Quarterly and supervises PhD projects in the MPhil in English Studies program, focusing on topics like prose rhythms and modernist poet-scholars.
