Helen Adams is a Senior Lecturer in Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation in the Department of Geography at King's College London. Her research examines human responses to environmental change, including climate-related migration, place attachment, and resilience.

She co-directs the Centre for Integrated Research in Risk and Resilience and leads the UKRI-funded Maximising UK Adaptation to Climate Change Hub. Dr. Adams was a lead author for the IPCC WGII report on climate impacts and contributed to the UK Climate Change Risk Assessment.
Her publications explore agency in migration decisions, multidimensional well-being, and critical approaches to resilience.
