Heidi Partti is a Professor of Music Education at the Sibelius Academy, University of the Arts Helsinki, and an Associate Professor at the University of Jyväskylä. She chairs the University of the Arts' Research Ethics Committee and is a member of the Finnish National Board on Research Integrity (TENK). Her research focuses on equality, eco-social sustainability, and ethics in post-digital societies, with a strong emphasis on innovative composing pedagogy and intercultural music education.
Education: She holds a DMus degree and has conducted extensive research on digital learning communities and identity formation. Her work bridges academic and practical domains, collaborating with international networks to address global challenges in music education.

- Cosmopolitan musicianship
- Intercultural music teacher training
Key Projects include the Equity in Composing initiative tackling gender stereotypes and the Global Visions project promoting gender inclusion in Nepali music education. She has authored/co-authored over 20 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and edited influential volumes on intercultural music education.
