Dr. Heather Prior is an Associate Professor of Biology at The King's University, specializing in ocular genetics, zebrafish development, faith and fertility ethics, and honeybee disease research. She holds a PhD from the University of Alberta (2000) and a B.Sc. from the same institution (1989).

- Investigating genetic mechanisms in vertebrate development using zebrafish models
- Ethical and theological dimensions of assisted reproductive technologies (ART)
- Biochemical analysis of honeybee pathogens funded by the Alberta Beekeepers Association
Grants and Collaborations: Her honeybee disease research is supported by the Alberta Beekeepers Association. She collaborates with Dr. Heather Looy (Psychology) on the Faith and Fertility Project exploring denominational perspectives on infertility.
Labs/Teams: Leads the zebrafish research facility at King's University, utilizing radiation hybrid mapping and PCR-based techniques.
