Heather Ferrell

Heather Ferrell serves as an Instructor of Sports and Exercise Science and ATP Clinical Coordinator within the Department of Sports and Exercise Sciences at West Texas A&M University's College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She concurrently holds the position of Wellness Champion for the WTAMU Employee Wellness Program (WellWT) since 2018.

Her educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Oklahoma State University (2009) and a Master of Science in Sports and Exercise Science from West Texas A&M University (2011), earned while working as a graduate assistant athletic trainer.

Ms. Ferrell's professional expertise centers on athletic training clinical education, sports injury evaluation, and health promotion. She teaches specialized courses including Drugs, Alcohol, and Tobacco; Upper and Lower Extremity Evaluation; Personal Fitness Concepts; and Athletic Training Clinical, with practical applications extending to WTAMU sports programs, the Amarillo Venom professional football team, and local high schools.
