Heather Bruce

Dr. Heather Bruce is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural, Food and Nutritional Science at Dalhousie University's Faculty of Agriculture. Previously, she served as Chair of the same department at the University of Alberta and was the Scientific Lead for Agri-Food Discovery Place, a research facility in Alberta. Her career includes leadership roles as External Research Manager at Maple Leaf Foods Agresearch farm and Senior Scientist at CSIRO Australia, where she focused on muscle food quality. Dr. Bruce earned her PhD from the University of Alberta and holds an MSc and BSc (Honors in Agriculture) from the University of Guelph. She is based at Dalhousie's Agricultural Campus in Cumming Hall.
