Hayley Boxall

Dr Hayley Boxall is a Research Fellow at the Australian National University (ANU) within the POLIS: The Centre for Social Policy Research. Her expertise lies in domestic and family violence (DFV), intimate partner violence, and criminal justice responses to these issues. With over 13 years of research experience, she focuses on offender trajectories, desistance, and policy-oriented studies.

• Education: B Social Policy and Research (Hons) from UNSW, PhD from ANU
• Key Research: Criminal justice responses to DFV, restorative justice, intimate partner homicide, and gender-based violence

Her work combines quantitative and qualitative methods, analyzing administrative datasets and conducting interviews with vulnerable populations such as child protection system participants and survivors of violence. Recent projects include evaluations of men’s behavior change programs and legal reforms in Queensland.
