Hashim bin Rashid

Hashim bin Rashid is a Lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Arts & Sciences. His work focuses on the intersection of environmental change, economic transformation, and social movements, particularly in South Asia. He co-founded the Emancipatory Rural Politics Initiative (ERPI) South Asia Collective to bridge academic and grassroots movements.
