Harvey Babich

Harvey Babich serves as Professor and Chair of Biology at Yeshiva University's Stern College for Women. His current research examines the comparative responses of normal and cancerous human oral cavity cells to nutraceuticals. With previous positions at Rockefeller University, NYU, and the Environmental Law Institute, Babich brings interdisciplinary expertise to cancer biology and toxicology research.

Research focuses on chemopreventive properties of natural compounds, cellular response mechanisms, and anticancer agent development. His investigations bridge molecular biology and clinical applications for oral cancer treatment.

Honors include multiple teaching awards from Stern College and fellowship in the American Academy of Microbiology. Publications appear in Anticancer Research, Anticancer Agents in Medicinal Chemistry, and Journal of Toxicology.
