Alexander Dubček University of TrenčínAbout
Dr. Harshit Tripathi is a Researcher at the Joint Glass Centre (Vitrum Laugaricio – VILA) within the Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín in Slovakia. His work focuses on advanced ceramic materials, particularly transparent ceramics, composites, energy storage materials, and high entropy materials.
Dr. Tripathi completed his educational journey at Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University) in Chandigarh, India, where he earned his Ph.D. in 2024 in the Department of Metallurgical & Materials Engineering. His doctoral research focused on "Synthesis of Rare-Earth Doped Yttria based Ceramic Powders and their Sintering for Opto-Electrical Properties". Prior to this, he completed his M.Tech in 2019 from the same institution, with research on "Mechanical Reinforcement of Steel Mesh to Aluminium Alloy 6061".
Dr. Tripathi's research spans multiple areas of advanced ceramics with particular emphasis on yttria-based materials. His work encompasses:
- Synthesis and characterization of rare-earth doped yttria ceramics
- Transparent ceramic development for optical and electronic applications
- Energy storage materials and high entropy ceramics
- Composite materials including metal matrix composites
His publication record demonstrates a consistent focus on ceramic materials science, with particular attention to structural, optical, and electrical properties. Dr. Tripathi has contributed significantly to understanding how doping elements affect the properties of yttria and other ceramic systems. His work often involves co-precipitation synthesis methods and detailed characterization of resulting materials.
Dr. Tripathi has participated in several international projects including:
- JECS trust mobility fellowship for visiting researcher at University of Seville, Spain
- VII PPITUS of the University of Sevilla for mobility as a visiting researcher at University of Seville, Spain
He has also been involved in national projects in India:
- Design and Innovation Centre – under National Initiative in Design Innovation, New Delhi
- Development of a light weight composite Sandwich panel for Blast Mitigation, TBRL, DRDO Lab. Chandigarh
Dr. Tripathi is affiliated with multiple international partners including:
- Friedrich-Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg
- Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena
