Professor Hanif Kara is a structural engineer and academic, currently serving as Professor in Practice of Architectural Technology at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design (GSD). He co-founded AKT II, a globally acclaimed engineering firm, and has held visiting roles at institutions like KTH Royal Institute of Technology (2007–2012). His work bridges design innovation, sustainable materials, and complex structural analysis, earning over 350 awards, including the RIBA Stirling Prize and the Soane Medal (2024).
