Haicheng Wang is a Professor and Mary and Cheney Cowles Endowed Professor in the Department of Art History at the University of Washington's School of Art + Art History + Design. His research focuses on Chinese art and archaeology, comparative studies of early civilizations, and the role of writing in ancient states. He holds a PhD from Princeton University (2007) and an MA from Peking University (2000).
