Ha Beom Kim

Ha Beom Kim is a Courtesy Research Associate at the University of Oregon, affiliated with the Schnitzer School of Global Studies and Languages. He holds a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley (2011) and an M.A. from the University of Oregon (2014).

Research Interests: His work focuses on early societies in East Asia, particularly human-environment interactions, paleoethnobotanical research, foodways of complex hunter-gatherers, the origins of agriculture in East Asia, and sociopolitical contexts in archaeology. He has participated in field excavations in California, China, and Japan, reflecting his multidisciplinary approach to understanding the region's cultural and environmental history.
