Guy Peer

Dr. Guy Peer is a Group Leader in the Agriculture and Ecosystems hub at the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv), part of the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research – UFZ in Leipzig, Germany. His work focuses on understanding anthropogenic pressures on biodiversity and ecosystems, particularly through agriculture, land-use changes, and EU policies. He leads interdisciplinary projects like CAP4GI and AgriDiv, addressing how EU policies such as the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) impact biodiversity and socio-ecological systems.
