Gunter Reski

Prof. Gunter Reski (born 1963) is a German artist and educator based in Berlin and Offenbach. Since 2013, he has served as Professor of Painting at the University of Art and Design Offenbach (HfG Offenbach), with prior teaching roles at Weißensee Art Academy Berlin (2012/13), National Academy of Fine Arts Oslo (2004-2010), and HfbK Hamburg (2002-2004).

• Education: Studied at Hamburg University of Fine Arts (HfbK) under KP Brehmer and Gotthard Graubner (1986-1992)

Reski's artistic practice spans painting, installation, and conceptual art. His work explores themes like identity, space, and materiality through pieces such as The Knots of Idiots and The Subtenant. Recent exhibitions include Mind with a Backyard (2014) and The Happy Fainting of Painting (2012).
