Guin Thompson

Guin Thompson is an Assistant Professor of Illustration and Assistant Department Chair at the Department of Visual & Media Arts, Grand Valley State University (GVSU). She holds an MFA in Illustration from the University of Hartford and a BA in Fine Arts from Indiana University. Her academic focus centers on historical women in illustration, with expertise in sequential narrative, decorative patterns, and dimensional illustration. She has professional experience with clients like DC Comics, Image Comics, and Archaia Comics, alongside advertising and publication design.
