Guido Drexlin

Prof. Guido Drexlin is a physicist at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and spokesperson for the Institute of Experimental Particle Physics (ETP). He leads the KATRIN experiment, a global collaboration aiming to measure the neutrino mass with unprecedented precision. His work bridges cosmology and particle physics, exploring neutrinos' role in matter-antimatter asymmetry and cosmic structure formation.

The KATRIN experiment, part of KIT's KCETA center and the Helmholtz Matter and Universe program, involves 150 researchers from seven countries. It uses a 70-meter facility with a tritium source and ultra-high vacuum spectrometer to analyze decay electrons and infer neutrino mass properties.
