Gregory Sotzing

Gregory Sotzing is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Connecticut (UConn), affiliated with the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on synthesizing and characterizing conductive and dielectric polymers for applications in energy storage, wearable electronics, and smart textiles. Key areas include electrochromic materials, high-temperature dielectric polymers, and cannabinoid-derived polymers. He leads the Sotzing Research Group, which emphasizes collaboration with industry and academia to bridge fundamental science and practical applications.

Education: Postdoctoral Fellow at Caltech (1997–99), Ph.D. from the University of Florida, and B.S. from Mary Washington College.
