Gregory Harris serves as Department Chair of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Auburn University's Samuel Ginn College of Engineering. He holds the Forehand/Accenture Distinguished Professorship and directs the Interdisciplinary Center for Advanced Manufacturing Systems (ICAMS), while serving as Associate Director for Digital Strategy at the National Center for Additive Manufacturing Excellence (NCAME).

Under Harris's leadership, ICAMS has secured over $30 million in grants including an $8.9 million DOD award for smart manufacturing initiatives, a $9.2 million DOD project for Model-Based Systems Engineering, and a $7.2 million DoD award for Industry 4.0 implementation. He spearheads the Bird Inc. program that received $1.7 million to reach 28,000+ Alabama sixth-graders with manufacturing career exposure, and leads NSF-funded initiatives empowering underserved students with AI and manufacturing skills.
ICAMS operates as a comprehensive manufacturing innovation hub with state-of-the-art equipment for digital manufacturing, additive processes, and systems engineering. The center maintains strategic partnerships with major automotive manufacturers (Honda, Hyundai), academic institutions across the Southeast, and has recently expanded international collaborations through visits to Taiwan to explore smart manufacturing innovations.
