Gregory Broussard

Gregory Broussard is a Teaching Professor and Associate Head for Undergraduate Education in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Penn State. He also serves as the BMB Preparation Laboratory Manager. His academic journey includes a B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Louisiana (2001), a Ph.D. in Biology from the same institution (2007), and postdoctoral training at the University of Pittsburgh (2011).

His research focuses on bacteriophage functional genomics, host-pathogen interactions involving Vibrio and Mycobacterium species. He has been recognized with prestigious awards including the 2023 C.I. Noll Teaching Excellence Award and a National Academies Education Fellowship in 2015-2016.
