Greg Jackson

Dr. Greg Jackson serves as the Director of the Water Unit in the Health Protection and Regulation Branch of Queensland Public Health and Scientific Services, Queensland Department of Health. He holds an Adjunct Associate Professor appointment at the Queensland Alliance for Environmental Health Sciences (QAEHS), a collaborative initiative between Queensland Health and the University of Queensland.

• Responsible for health policy, regulation, and risk assessment in water systems
• Manages Queensland Water Fluoridation Program
• Leads Legionella risk mitigation in healthcare facilities

His research interests focus on environmental health sciences, particularly:

• Drinking water safety and standards
• Recreational water quality monitoring
• Hospital water system contamination control
• Public aquatic facility regulations
