Graham Forbes

Dr. Graham Forbes is a Professor in the Department of Forestry and Environmental Management at the University of New Brunswick, and currently serves as Assistant Dean, Graduate Studies. He holds dual academic and administrative roles, balancing research leadership with graduate program oversight.

Education: BA (Biogeography) from York University, MSc and PhD from University of Waterloo. His research focuses on wildlife ecology, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable land management practices. He has collaborated extensively with government agencies like Parks Canada and provincial natural resources departments.

Key contributions include developing forest management guidelines for the Greater Fundy Ecosystem and co-chairing Canada’s Terrestrial Mammal Sub-Committee for endangered species assessments. His work bridges academia and policy, emphasizing practical applications of ecological research.
