Graeme Reid is a Lecturer in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Yale University and Director of the LGBT Rights Program at Human Rights Watch.
His research examines global LGBTQ+ rights, cultural politics of gender/sexuality, and human rights advocacy. He holds a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Amsterdam.
He founded the Gay and Lesbian Archives of South Africa and has published extensively on identity politics in post-apartheid contexts.
