Dr. Gosia Marschall is an Assistant Professor in Teacher Professional Learning at the University of Cambridge's Faculty of Education. She holds a PhD in Mathematics and Teacher Education from the University of Stockholm, an MEd in International Perspectives in Mathematics Education from Cambridge, and a BSc in Applied Mathematics with Teaching Qualification from the Technical University of Gdansk.
Marschall's research examines teacher professional learning through integrative frameworks combining teacher knowledge, self-efficacy, affect, agency, and identity development. Her work spans initial teacher education and career-long professional growth, with particular attention to mathematics educators.
Her publications investigate mathematics teacher decision-making, the relationship between teacher identity and self-efficacy, and affective dimensions of professional development. These studies employ qualitative methodologies including phenomenological approaches and case studies.

Current research includes international collaborations on mathematics teacher attrition in diverse contexts, longitudinal studies of secondary mathematics teachers, and conceptualizing mathematics teacher wellbeing. She teaches across postgraduate programs including Mathematics Education, Educational Leadership, and Research Methods.
