Gordon McOuat

Gordon McOuat is the Inglis Professor at Dalhousie University, specializing in the history, philosophy, and sociocultural dimensions of science. He holds a PhD from the University of Toronto and has held fellowships at institutions including Cambridge University, the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, and MIT’s Dibner Institute. His academic roles include past-president of the Canadian Society for the History and Philosophy of Science (CHSPS) and director of major SSHRC-funded projects like “Cosmopolitanism and the Local in Science and Nature” and “Situating Science.”
