Golnaz Taghavi Pourian Azar

Dr Golnaz Taghavi Pourian Azar is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Manufacturing and Materials, Coventry University. She joined in 2018, specializing in surface engineering and coating technologies through multidisciplinary projects like MATUROLIFE (2018-2020) and recent EU Horizon 2024 initiatives.

Her research focuses on surface technologies, including PVD coatings, electroless plating, and smart textiles. She explores microstructure-property relationships, advanced characterization methods, and innovative applications like electrocatalyst coatings for hydrogen generation and conductive textiles for human-robot interaction.

Recent publications highlight her work on electroless nickel coatings for additive manufacturing, graphene and 2D materials for energy applications, and copper-silver nanoparticle catalysts for textile electronics. Her articles span journals like Materials, Polymers, and Surface Engineering.
