Prof. Andrew Cobley is a Professor of Electrochemical Deposition at Coventry University, leading the Functional Materials Research Group. He holds a BSc from Portsmouth Polytechnic (1986) and a PhD in Electrochemistry from Loughborough University (2002). With over 20 years in industry (ITRI, BAe Systems), he pioneered metallization processes and PCB manufacturing systems. He is Principal Investigator of the €6M H2020 MATUROLIFE project, addressing textile-based assistive technologies for older adults. His research focuses on applied electrochemistry, sonochemistry, and sustainable materials science.
