Goar Alvarez

Goar Alvarez, C.Ph., is an Associate Professor and Assistant Dean at the Barry and Judy Silverman College of Pharmacy, Nova Southeastern University. He serves as Director of the NSU Clinic Pharmacy and South Florida State Hospital's Pharmacy.

His research interests include public health, clinical pharmacy, and healthcare leadership, with a focus on civic engagement and pharmaceutical public relations. Awards recognize his leadership and contributions to pharmacy practice:

• Roman Corrons Inspiration and Motivation Award (2012)
• RQ Richards Award (2013)
• APhA/NASPA Bowl of Hygeia Award (2017)

He was appointed to the Florida Board of Pharmacy (2014–2017) and held leadership roles in the Florida Pharmacy Association.
