Glenys Collard

Glenys Collard is an Adjunct Lecturer in the School of Social Sciences, Linguistics Department at The University of Western Australia. Her research focuses on Australian Aboriginal English, sociolinguistics, and decolonizing methodologies. She collaborates on language technology development and participatory approaches to ensure Indigenous voices are centered in linguistic research.

Her work bridges sociolinguistics with education and health, emphasizing cultural competency and ethical engagement with Indigenous communities. Key projects include the Yarning Corpus of Australian Aboriginal English and studies on medical media for First Nations populations.
