Giuseppe Barbieri has been a Full Professor of Modern Art History at Ca' Foscari University of Venice since 2005. He leads the Center for Studies on Russian Art (CSAR) and has directed multiple departments, including the Department of History of Art and Conservation of Cultural Heritage 'G. Mazzariol' (2008-2011) and the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Heritage (2016-2023). He is also a member of the scientific committee of the International Center for Contemporary Art at Punta della Dogana.
