Giulia Cardillo is an Associate Professor of Italian and Coordinator of the Italian Program at James Madison University. She holds a Ph.D. in Italian Language and Literature from Yale University and an M.A. in Italian Studies from the University of Notre Dame. Her research focuses on Early Modern literature, including Dante and Boccaccio, networks of women writers, and intersections between literary and visual arts. She is co-editing a forthcoming volume titled *Imagined Networks in Pre-Modern Italian Literature: Literary Mothers, Literary Sisters* (2024).
