Ginger Liu

Ginger Liu is a Postgraduate Researcher at the School of the Arts, York St John University. She holds an MFA in Photography and a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Media Practice. Her career spans reporting, photojournalism, and founding a Hollywood communications agency. Her research focuses on death, bereavement, and digital afterlife technologies, comparing Victorian portrait photography with modern AI-driven practices. She produces a podcast exploring AI, grief, religion, and science. Professionally, she is a CEO/founder of a PR agency and film production company, advising government health agencies and serving as a charity Trustee.
