Gill Pomfret is an Associate Professor in Tourism at Sheffield Hallam University's Department of Service Sector Management. With expertise in consumer behavior within outdoor tourism contexts, she researches adventure tourism motives, wellbeing outcomes, and senior traveler experiences. Her editorial work includes the Routledge International Handbook of Adventure Tourism (2025), building on her foundational co-authored textbook Adventure Tourism: The New Frontier (2003).
