Dr Victoria Mellon is an Associate Professor and Associate Head of the School of Engineering and Built Environment at Sheffield Hallam University, focusing on Teaching and Learning enhancement. She holds affiliations with the Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research and the Social and Economic Research Institute. Previously in the Department of Service Sector Management (now part of Sheffield Business School), she transitioned to the Department of Engineering and Mathematics. She completed all her academic degrees at Sheffield Hallam, earning a PhD in Sustainable Tourism (2018) focused on UK National Parks.
Her research spans sustainable tourism policies, food tourism in protected areas, older adults' consumer behavior in heritage tourism, and motivations behind charity challenges. She actively promotes inclusive pedagogy, particularly Project-Based Learning in engineering and tourism education. Key roles include Course Leader for Tourism/Hospitality programs, temporary Student Experience Lead, and T&L portfolio lead (2023–2024).
