Giada Giacomini is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID), where she works on the project Accountability of International Organizations under Prof. Andonova. She holds a PhD in Public, Comparative and International Law from La Sapienza University of Rome, with collaborative research at the Strathclyde Centre for Environmental Law and Governance (UK). Previously, she was a Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute (2022/2023).
Her research focuses on Just Transition Litigation and the role of Grievance Redress Mechanisms, with a primary publication being her monograph on Indigenous peoples and climate justice (Palgrave Macmillan, 2022). Giada is affiliated with international networks such as the Centre for International Sustainable Development Law, IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law, and the UN Harmony with Nature Programme.
