Gerhard Hirschfeld

Gerhard Hirschfeld is an Honorary Professor at the Department of History, University of Stuttgart, and has served as Director of the Bibliothek für Zeitgeschichte since 1989. His research focuses on Social and Cultural History of World War I, Comparative Occupation History of World War II, 20th Century Netherlands History, and Academic Emigration post-1933.

He has been a
