Professor of Computer Science and Fellow of St. Michael's College at the University of Toronto. Leads research in computational linguistics, natural language processing, and logic programming. Maintains affiliations with the Computational Linguistics group at Toronto and serves on the editorial board of Linguistics & Philosophy.

- Principal developer of the Attribute Logic Engine (ALE), a constraint logic programming system.
