Georgios Batsakis

Georgios Batsakis is an Associate Professor of International Business and Academic Director of the MSc in International Business and Management at Alba Graduate Business School, The American College of Greece. He holds a B.Sc. from the University of the Aegean, an MSc from Erasmus School of Economics, and a Ph.D. from Brunel Business School. His research focuses on internationalization strategies, foreign market entry, and digitalization's impact on traditional firms. He teaches Entrepreneurship and strategic management courses, emphasizing experiential learning through real-world startup mentorship and venture capital pitch events.

His research has been published in top journals like the Journal of International Business Studies and British Journal of Management. Notably, he was recognized as one of the world’s top 40-under-40 business school professors (2022) and ranked in the top 10% of ResearchGate scholars in business and management. He advises startups on business models, demand validation, and collaborates with industry through executive seminars and startup competitions.

Batsakis maintains strong ties with the industry, serving as a mentor in programs like VISA Innovation and Disrupt Greece. His work bridges academia and practice, emphasizing actionable insights.
