Georgia Wilson

Dr. Georgia Wilson is a Lecturer in Psychology and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy at Manchester Metropolitan University. She holds a PhD in Psychology (dual scholarship with Liverpool John Moores University), MSc in Psychology by Research, and BSc in Psychology. Her research specializes in health behaviors and body image, employing discourse analysis to examine how individuals position their accounts within societal discourses.

Current research projects include:

• Clothing choices post-mastectomy/breast-cancer surgery (collaboration with Manchester Fashion Institute)
• Factors influencing e-cigarette adoption among diverse adult populations

Dr. Wilson teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including Extended Project units in Counselling/Psychotherapy and Forensic Psychology. She specializes in supervising qualitative dissertation research.
