George Alogoskoufis

Professor George Alogoskoufis is a distinguished economist currently serving as Professor of Economics at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) since 1990, and Head of the Department of Economics since 2020. He is also a Research Associate of the Hellenic Observatory of the London School of Economics and Political Science since 2011, and a Fellow of the European Economic Association since 1999. His career spans academia, public service, and international institutions, including serving as Greece's Minister of Economy and Finance from 2004 to 2009.
