Geneveva Cruz

Geneveva Cruz is a Senior Lecturer in the Writing Program at the University of Texas at San Antonio's University College. She has taught writing courses at UTSA since 2017 with over 12 years of teaching experience. Her educational background includes a BA in English/Journalism from Austin Peay State University and an MA in English Literature from Our Lady of the Lake University, with ongoing doctoral studies in Composition and Rhetoric at Texas Woman's University.

Her research explores Composition, Rhetoric, and pedagogical approaches to Academic Writing. She emphasizes student potential through rigorous writing expectations combined with supportive instruction.
