Gabrielle Baffoni

Dr. Gabrielle Baffoni serves as Professor of Music for Single Reeds at Southeast Missouri State University within the Holland College of Arts and Media, Department of Music, a position she has held since 2012. Education: Doctor of Musical Arts in Clarinet Performance from the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance, where her doctoral project featured a lecture-recital on clarinet and percussion duo works.

Research Interests: Dr. Baffoni's expertise spans clarinet and saxophone performance pedagogy, chamber music repertoire development (particularly wind ensembles), and evidence-based musicians' wellness practices. Her scholarly focus integrates performance techniques with holistic health approaches through meditation and yoga.

Professional Activities: Dr. Baffoni mentors students in clarinet and saxophone studios while maintaining active performance roles as principal clarinetist of the Paducah Symphony Orchestra and member of the Kansas City Chamber Orchestra. She directs chamber music initiatives across university and professional settings.

Ensemble Leadership: As clarinetist of the Pan Pacific Ensemble (wind quintet), she contributes to nationally recognized chamber music programming and performance standards through regular campus and regional engagements.
