Prof. Dr. Gabriele Genge serves as Professor and Managing Director at the Institute for Art and Art History at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Her work bridges German/French art history from the 18th century to the present with transdisciplinary, transcultural, and postcolonial perspectives. She contributes to research on the Black Atlantic, Mediterranean art, and Ottoman/Turkish contemporary art.
