Gabriel Williams

Dr. Gabriel Williams is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at The Citadel's Swain Family School of Science and Mathematics. His research focuses on atmospheric physics, specializing in geophysical fluid dynamics, rotating convection systems (including hurricanes and tornadoes), and boundary layer dynamics. He employs computer modeling and remote sensing techniques to analyze atmospheric phenomena.

Educational background includes a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences from Colorado State University (2012), an M.S. in Physics from University of Texas at Brownsville (2008), and a B.S. in Mathematics and Physics from Morehouse College (2006). Dr. Williams mentors students in projects involving mathematical modeling of fluid flow and remote sensing applications.
