Dr. Gabriel Loor is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine and Surgical Director of the Lung Transplant Program at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center. He has performed or participated in over 500 lung transplants and pioneered "breathing lung transplantation" in the Midwest (2014) and Texas (2018). His leadership in the EXPAND Lung trial led to FDA approval of the OCS EVLP device, revolutionizing donation after cardiac death (DCD) transplants.
