Frode Søbstad

Frode Søbstad serves as Associate Professor in the Westerdals Department of Film and Media at Kristiania University College of Applied Science's School of Arts, Design and Media. A former producer and director with internationally recognized film work, he specializes in artistic development at the intersection of society and pedagogy.

His research centers on sustainable production practices and human-environment relationships, currently leading the One Breath – One Sea project exploring maritime human connections. As a member of the Ecosystem research group and Cilect Sustainability initiative, he drives global efforts toward environmentally responsible film education and production methodologies.
