Fred Rush

Fred Rush is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame, where he has taught since 2001. He has held visiting positions at the University of Cambridge, University of Chicago, and University of Munich.

Education:

• Ph.D., Columbia University

His research examines 18th-20th century European philosophy, philosophy of art, and social/political philosophy. He has published significant works on irony, idealism, architecture, and critical theory.

He maintains an office in 311 Malloy Hall and teaches courses in European philosophical traditions and aesthetics.
