Francisco Jorge Oliver Rullán

Francisco Jorge Oliver Rullán is a full Professor in the Department of Applied Economics at the University of the Balearic Islands, Spain. He serves as the secretary of the Applied Economics department and is a member of the GAME (Análisis y Modelización Económica) research group. From 2009 to 2013, he held the position of Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business.

His educational background includes a PhD in Economics from the University of the Balearic Islands and a Master's degree in Applied Economic Analysis from Pompeu Fabra University, Spain.

Professor Oliver's research focuses on several key areas of economics. His work examines portfolio decisions, labor supply and taxation policies, income redistribution mechanisms, and social welfare implications. He also specializes in public finance (particularly budgeting), econometric modeling, and microeconomic theory. His research contributes to understanding how economic policies affect individual decision-making and overall societal welfare.

Additionally, he has contributed several book chapters to academic publications.

His teaching responsibilities include Macroeconomics courses for undergraduate students in Business Administration, Economics, and Tourism programs, as well as the Master's program in Tourism Economics. He supervises numerous final degree projects across these programs.
